Message from the Head of Section

Welcome to the Middle School Department

The Middle School Department at the Lebanese School of Qatar is a vibrant place to teach, learn, and grow. Serving around 540 students across 18 sections from Grade 7 to Grade 9, our department plays an important role in students’ academic and personal development.

Guided by the school’s mission and vision, our teachers and coordinators work together to provide meaningful learning experiences that meet students’ needs and prepare them to become lifelong learners and future leaders. While LSQ implements the Lebanese curriculum, our academic team continuously enriches teaching and learning through modern strategies, inquiry-based approaches, critical thinking, and exposure to different educational standards.

At the end of Middle School, in Grade 9, students sit for the official Lebanese Brevet examination before beginning their High School journey. In addition to school-based assessments, students also take standardized assessments, such as the MAP test in Grades 7 and 8.

Beyond academics, we place great importance on developing students’ character, leadership skills, responsibility, and sense of agency. Through co-curricular and extracurricular activities, students are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop essential 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, digital awareness, and problem-solving.

Should you have any questions or need support, please feel free to reach out to me at alaa.zaheraldeen@lsq.sch.qa. I look forward to partnering with you in this exciting journey of growth, discovery, and learning.
