Welcome to the English M&S Department! 

Our department is a great place to teach and learn. Our team of teachers and coordinators strive every day to provide our students with a learning experience that is tailored to the needs of every student and that equips them with the skills they need to be ready for a prosperous career in the 21s century. 

Our department serves around 500 students divided among 22 sections from Grade 7 to Grade 12. Since the Lebanese program is implemented at LSQ, our 9th graders sit for the Official Lebanese Exam (Brevet) before they start their High School journey. Once they reach High School, our students are guided to encouraged to choose the path that best suits their interest and capacities. The available academic routes are: 

• Sociology and Economic 
• General Sciences (emphasis on Math and Physics) 
• Life Sciences (emphasis on Biology and Chemistry) 

In addition to local assessments, our students also sit for a variety of standardized tests including the MAP test (Grades 7, 8, and 10) and the SAT in Grade 11. 

Enriching our students’ characters and leadership skills is also a priority we take very seriously. This is why we make sure our students are given the opportunity to take part in many co-curricular and extracurricular activities like THIMUN, G-MUN, Qatar Leadership Conference, Qatar Debate, and many more.
